Five for Friday - 1 Month Left

I don't know about you, but I go back on August 18th. That means I only STILL have a whole one month left of summer! I love that summer means I have so much extra time to link up with Kacey for FIVE FOR FRIDAY!

I spent all week in PD. I'm actually okay with it, because I learned A LOT, received a small stipend, and scored some free teacher goodies!

For example, in a reading workshop (balanced literacy) training, each teacher received materials needed to make effective anchor charts. So exciting! It's the little things, really.

I also got to go to a Words Their Way training. Although my WTW understanding is much better now, I'm completely overwhelmed and not sure how I'm going to make it work in my classroom.

I have been on a ROLL for the past few days whipping up new products for TPT! My school brain hasn't returned from La La Land yet, but my best friend / roomie / ex-teammate / coworker is moving to a new grade level, and she tosses ideas at me as she thinks of things she needs. I've downloaded a ton of new seller tools and am thinking about starting my own clip art line.

Speaking of new products... I have been doing a lot of laminating with MY NEW laminator!!! It's almost better than retail therapy. I'm obsessed.

I took my first summer trip to a teacher store yesterday! I only spent $40. Impressive, I know.

Half of that $40 was spent on a pop-up Alabama book that I obviously needed.

I know you've heard it before: I'm taking the GRE on Tuesday. I've studied a little bit, but...

  1. I just got the same laminator! My crew of my husband and stepson pulled the plug on me at 11pm because they were tired. I could have gone all night! It is a great stress release!

    1. I bought mine on sale at Walmart for $19. Also, everyone says to buy knockoff brand pouches, because the Scotch pouches are expensive. LOVE my laminator though!!

I'm nervous about the GRE too!! Hopefully it won't be terrible but I'll let you know! Eeek.
